Overview
Thai Rung Union Car Public Company Limited ('TRU') was established in 1967. With a registered share capital of Bt.525 million, TRU is engaged in the assembly and modification of motor vehicles and the manufacture of pressed metal automotive parts. TRU is located at Phetchkasem Rd. Soi 81, Nong Khaem District, Bangkok.
Thai Auto Pressparts Co. Ltd. ('TAP'), a subsidiary, started business in June 2002 at its factory at Amata
City Industrial Estate, Amphoe Pluak Daeng, Rayong Province, thus considerably expanding the group's parts production capacity. TAP, which has been granted BOI promotional privileges for its investments, supplies automotive parts to the customer group comprising automobile and motorcycle manufacturers in
the Eastern Seaboard and surrounding areas, and also caters to the growing export market.
Quality Stamping
All our inspectors have to pass a rigorous evaluation for the post, and undergo annual training designed to keep them fully alert to the importance of quality control and equipped with the latest techniques and practical skills required to carry out effective quality inspections. We inspect the chemical composition and performance of all our raw materials, in accordance with our quality control program. Our testing equipment includes Rockwell and Micro Vickers hardness testers, profiler, coating thickness tester and torque wrench tester, and our product quality assurance is further strengthened by the use of 3D coordinate measuring equipment and other testing software. Detailed inspection procedures, including sampling instructions, are laid out in the manual for each particular manufacturing process. First Article Inspection is performed on first production run for every new part.
In order to keep production costs as low as possible, our parts production department is committed to regularly reviewing and improving production processes so as to optimize the efficient use of our hydraulic and mechanical production lines, and to striving toward a zero defect rate, training and evaluating personnel regularly so as to minimize human error.
